M. Family Maternity Shoot | {New York Family & Maternity Photographer}

When an old friend asked me to photograph her as she neared the end of her second pregnancy, I was more than happy to do it. Not only had I not seen her in a while, but I had yet to meet her first child. I wasn't sure where we would meet until a few days before. I figured a local park would be easy, comfortable; but then I remembered this garden that I had been dying to visit since I first heard of it last year. I was not sure what to expect but the minute I stepped into it's walls I was blown away. It was my first time there and definitely not my last.

She was stunning in a spring dress while the boys looked great in their color coordinated outfits. I wish I had taken more pictures of the little guy but he was non-stop and on a mission to keep his hands in the pond. I had forgotten the beauty and curiosity of an almost two-year-old.

It was wonderful seeing my friend after several years and an honor to be able to photograph her during such special time in her life. Wishing you all the best, dear.

Woods and Playground | New York Family Photographer

A quick change of clothes and we headed out. My oldest daughter has recently taken an interest in photography and in being photographed.  She'll say things like, "Mom, look at those flowers, we should take pictures of them" or "Mom, that is so pretty, it would be a great place for pictures, don't you think?", and she'll strike a pose before I've had a chance to turn the camera on. My little one, on the other hand, only agreed to pictures after I promised I'd take her to the playground. That's how we ended up with the following mix of "woods" and playground session (which ended up being lots of fun). Some are not as great as I'd like them to be but, their expressions, and how it shows their love for each outweighs it all.

Baby Girl Announcement. | New York City Family Photographer.

It's a girl and this momma wanted the world to know. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago at the family's home. It was mid day and the light coming through the sheer curtains, although somewhat too bright, worked perfectly for us. Clothing and accessories were all chosen by mommy, all I did was show up and photograph her, the growing belly and beautiful big sister who has already chosen the baby's name. Can't wait to meet you princess.
