Rainbow and Silhouettes | Queens Family Photographer

It was a rainy Saturday and without much to do, I asked the girls if they'd like to create a fun backdrop with me and take photos while playing with balloons. The balloons and streamers certainly got their attention. The photo shoot was not a success in the amount of OK photos I took but it was a big hit because of the fun they had during and especially after the photos. The rainbow backdrop remained in our living room for a few days as they found several uses for it. Here, they're performing in front of their single person audience. I love the contrast of colors and dark silhouettes. I'll eventually share the actual pictures of the shoot later on but I think I love these more.

Snowfall | Queens NY Photographer

I couldn't help driving to the park yesterday in the midst of the snowfall. I wanted to capture a few beautiful images but the snowflakes on my lens and my freezing fingers made it impossible. At least I got this one.

L. Family | NYC Family Photographer

Had a great time with the L. Family this past weekend. It was a bit cold but that did not stop the kiddos from enjoying themselves while running and playing on a beautiful lawn that soon will change with winter's chill. This family is so full of positive energy and love, it was a pleasure hanging out with them.

A September Morning | New York Family Photographer

Early Sunday, around 10am, sunny and warm for a late September morning. I had just finished drinking my coffee when I asked the girls if they wanted to go out. We didn’t do much. The girls picked wildflowers (more like weeds) and ran in circles while I clicked away with my camera and smiled every time they found a flower. Nothing extraordinary or different from other random days; in fact, I had completely forgotten about that morning had it not been for the photographs. I was browsing my catalogue for the past few weeks and realized I had neglected some. All of a sudden the memories rushed back to me: their smiles, Lucía doing her silly dance, us running back indoors away from the mosquitos I thought had left along with summer. I know the girls won’t remember ordinary moments like those but I’m glad I can capture some of them; and even though I’m not in the actual images, they’ll know I was there all along… as I always will be.
